First things first, major thanks to everyone who's bought and been listening to In Coma - the album was a long time in the making for me so it's great to be getting feedback and comments about what you guys think of it.

Okay, so I wanted to give an in-depth update on how things are going/going to go with music for the next little while. Although, I seem to be terrible at sticking to deadlines so perhaps this is a bad idea... we'll see! I do have some rough plans outlined though.

In terms of covers, I'm just finishing up on The Catalyst which should be up by the middle of next week (10th/11th August). After that, I'm going to put up a collaboration cover of QWERTY which I've been doing with YouTube user richardmcginty for the rap parts. This was fun to do - it's been in the works for a few months due to things keeping coming up which delayed it but it's in the final stages now and should be up by the end of September. Finally, I'm working on a new cover of New Divide - the old one, even though it had so many views, just had to go because the vocals really weren't great at all, and with it getting so much attention I'd rather that it was a near-perfect cover than a sort of 'rough take'. ETA on this is tentatively scheduled for mid-September.

For Razor Red Noise, I'm still working on new songs all the time. Those I've been writing since the release of In Coma seem to be turning out quite different... but it's hard to say exactly how. The lengths tend to be longer, upwards of 4:30-5:00. There are a lot more synths being used, and it's definitely a lot more moody than previous RRN stuff. The lyrics are very interesting to look at this time round; they're a lot more blunt and honest, and (I hope) less cliche. They should prove to be more of an interesting read even when you look at them on their own. Current working titles include "Winter Inside", "Meltdown" and "Atrium".

All this work is pretty confidently aimed towards an EP3 of some description. Should be 6 songs or so in length. I'm not aiming to have this out until the end of the year, or the start of 2011, but I'll be uploading one or two songs from it before then. I'm thinking November/December.

Last but not least, work on In Viridian: Chapter Two is going well. At the time of writing, 7 out of 10 songs are complete, with the others getting written fairly quickly. With any luck, I'll have it out by the beginning of October. Current working titles include "Ice Fields", "Choral" and "Celesta".

So, to sum up:

New RRN Videos: End of November/beginning of December
New RRN Release: New year

This is all subject to change of course... knowing me, it probably will. Though having goals written down does help me stick to them!

Oh, and I was hoping to do a UStream chat today but the timing just didn't work out and I've left it too late to announce now, really. So I'm hoping to do one next weekend. I'll give more details on that in a few days.
